Live a life that's wild. Come connect with us on instagram @mywildhabits
The further we reach into the black mirror as a society, the more collectively we become unhappy. This disassociation with reality causes us to loose our sense of presence. Every year we are seeing rises in suicide, higher rates in teen mental-illness, and lower self esteem across the board. It is no secret there is a link between social media and depression. At Wild Habits we see this toxic trend of allowing our conscious to be swallowed by our screens. In turn we neglect ourselves from the most human experience of all, life. We encourage others to spend more time with their loved ones, with their environments, and connecting with all things living.
We do love the internet and social media. There are so many ways to use these tools to better our lives. We can connect with people from across the world in seconds, support small business like never before, have any questions we need answered at our fingertips. It is when personally, professionally, and academically our world is turning into a digital one. Without a healthy balance, the virtual world will have lasting affects on us. Let’s not forget to disconnect sometimes and live a life that's wild. Depression affects over 18 million people in the U.S. each year, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or socio-economic level. We care about people most, and that is why our brand has decided to donate 10% of all profits to Hope For Depression Research Foundation.
Depression and depressive disorders affect not only the victims, but their friends, families, and communities as well. We want people to go outside, be healthy, connect with people and have a fulfilling life. When more care is needed, we want to know there are others who can help like Hope for Depression.
